Assignment Fifty Two (Gasp!): Your Best Shot!

Thursday critique:

The assignment I dread the most… the last one. Heh.

This one is quite unique, and I want it to be a reflection of this past year + we have spent together. I want it to be an image that makes us all proud of what was accomplished and an image that goes into your portfolio front and center – so to speak.

I want you to work on a shot for the first page of your portfolio… a shot that reflects what you love, how you love to shoot what you love and all of the characteristics you bring to your images.

Here’s the skinny on this… go back to the first 20 assignments and find one that you KNOW you could do a lot better now that we have worked so much harder on images and how they are created. Find the assignment that rings truest for you and your style and your love of photography and redo that assignment with the idea it is going to be the first image in your portfolio.

In this business we have to hit home runs every time we step up to the plate – and I am asking you for a home run this time too.

This is the final assignment – to do your best on your best shot.

Simple. Challenging.

Difficult and rewarding…

This has been a blast – and now we go on to even greater things. Yep, we will all still be working together as no one leaves the tribe/family/unit whatever we call this thing.

See you on the final critique.

    Hey Don,

I’m still in NYC. I didn’t see what day the final Thursday critique is for last assignment. I’m hoping I will be at a place where I can connect.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Another question. I don’t see the registration link for the final critique!

Don, I won’t be there on Saturday.

I can’t say that I think this IS “my best shot” but it was the best one I managed to do this week. And I’ve missed too many just recently to miss this one too.

    See you next month.

I’m submitting for tonight and a redo of last week. I am going to try to make tonight. Something came up at the last minute that may delay me.

I might be a few minutes late but I will be on as soon as I can.
