”WET”

Specifics:
A client has called. She hired a photographer to do a shot of something to show how her new water repellent product works. The photographer blew the shot… never did any Project 52 assignments, poor guy.

She (the client) needs the photographs for several items:

Cover for the brochure. (Square)
Banner for the website. (Horizontal – 960 pixels x 245 pixels)
Background for the product itself. (Just a section to use for the packaging background) No worries about that, we can snatch off of the brochure cover.

She has told you the following:
– Bright colors are great!
– The product works on skin and most materials
– The product makes water less damaging to the material
– The product is used in business and consumer products
– Their target market is product producers

There ya go!

You have to decide if you are going to do two different shots or a single shot that will allow the crop. The second way is much harder, but if you are an intrepid soul it may work fine. Make sure that the images relate to each other. Brochure users should recognize the ‘brand’ in the header of the website and website users feel they “know” the brochure when they see it.

Put the two images together like this for the presentation.

Google Search (gotta get by the top 12 rows of bikini’s and such).

I have no ides what this product looks like. Is it a spray on in a can or a bottle? Is it a cream in a jar? At one time, sailors used tar for this purpose and that’s why they were sometimes referred to as Jack Tars. My main question is; is there a product out there that does this? What am I missing here?

    Hey Blair,

I may be incorrect, but my take is:

A Chemical manufacturer (this rain repelling product) is sold primarily to manufacturers of various products. So there is a wide usage for the chemical.

They need an image to communicate what it does, repel water and protect the product it’s sprayed on.

    main image needs from above:
    – Bright colors are great!
    – The product works on skin and most materials
    – The product makes water less damaging to the material
    – The product is used in business and consumer products
    – Their target market is product producers

Products that could use it: gloves, boots, jackets, outdoor furniture, water sports stuff, etc.

    Hopefully Don can chime in…

    Yes. That is correct.

It i indeed a fictional product… it is the result that we are interested in seeing in print. What does the product do FOR you, and why should I consider it important enough to purchase.
